Transporting a vehicle can be quite difficult, especially when travelling between provinces or even countries. Performance Auto Carrier can help make your delivery as smooth as possible by helping you follow the proper guidelines and submitting important paperwork.
Properly preparing the vehicle you plan to transport is vital. Deactivate any security alarms that may be installed, fill the gas tank to no more than a third of it’s capacity and make sure that any loose items or important belongings have been removed.
Make sure that you have a copy of all documents as well as an additional copy for the shipping company. Among these should be a Bill of Landing, which outlines the terms and conditions of the delivery. Before a payment is made, it is important for the client to read, understand and agree with the provisions of the Bill of Landing.
Before shipping the vehicle, it should go through a series of inspections to ensure that it satisfies the terms and conditions of Performance Auto Carrier. Documentation of the vehicle’s state should be signed by the client and our delivery driver after the inspection is completed. Once the vehicle delivery is completed, the vehicle should again be inspected by our delivery driver and the recipient for any changes. Claims for damages, if any, should be filed with Performance Auto Carrier within two weeks of the vehicle delivery.
Reliability of estimated delivery times may very depending on road conditions, time of year and the mechanical worth of the delivery trucks as well as the well-being of the delivery driver. Performance Auto Carrier offers door-to-door vehicle transport which allows our auto carrier to deliver as close to a client’s residence as possible. Certain cities may have restrictions on allowing large delivery trucks into residential areas. Because of this, pick-up or drop-off points may be limited to the shopping mall or parking lot nearest to the client’s residence.
