North Bay at a junction of Highways 11 and 17, segments of the Trans-Canada Highway, remains a major Northern Ontario transportation center. It is the southern terminus of the Ontario Northland Railway, and the North Bay/Jack Garland Airport serves flights to and from the Canadian Forces Base North Bay and is the site of Voyageur Airways and the Bombardier Aerospace CL-415 water bomber final assembly and flight testing facility.
